Annual Oracle users conference COLLABORATE 14 - IOUG Forum will take place in Las Vegas from April 7-11, 2014 at the Venetian and Sands Expo Center.  This is a once-a-year opportunity to connect with the members of not one but three Oracle users groups (IOUG, OAUG and Quest) as well as with the top names and faces in the Oracle community.

For 20 years, IOUG has delivered a unique event with leading-edge content for Oracle technology users.  We fully anticipate that the COLLABORATE 14 - IOUG Forum will meet and exceed the high watermark set by COLLABORATE 13, which had over 5,500 attendees, 1,000 presentations and a full week of great events and networking opportunities. March 13, 2014 Monthly Meeting.

Date:
Thursday Mar. 13, 2014
Time:
7:00 PM
Speaker:
Maaz Anjum, Solution Architect, Architecture Services; BIAS Corp.

Topic:  Capacity Planning: How to Leverage OEM12c for Engineered Systems

The question of current capacity utilization is important to organizations undergoing a consolidation effort. We often receive customers request for capacity planning reports on Exa Appliances that we manage. If one were you use Oracle’s On-Demand services, this information might be easily available. On the other hand, those who intend to and trend on captured metrics by Oracle’s Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control platform, there are a number of useful features and tricks to extract the information. OEM views, Chargeback capabilities and, BI Reports tool are leveraged to extract – with a hierarchical overview – past and future trends for capacity and resource planning efforts on several targets especially for an Exa Appliance. The information would be particularly useful for business owners to decide on additional hardware purchases.
